New Brighton - Liverpool Riverside Cycle Route

Description

This route is more than a bike ride, its a great family day out cycling along both sides of the river Mersey. Starting at the resort of New Brighton you take the cycle lane along UKs longest promenade to Seacombe where you take the world famous Ferry across the Mersey over to Liverpool.

Here you can take in the joys of the World Heritage Pier Head before heading along the riverside all the way to Otterspool. The whole journey is off road along flat, paved cycle paths making this a car free, safe and fun family tip for all ages. Theres also plenty of food and drink places to stop along the way.

Getting There

There's Parking at the start of the route and the nearest rail station is New Brighton a couple of minutes away. Also if you dont want to take the ferry then carry on past the ferry terminal to Hamilton Square Station where you can get the train across instead.
